Cancellation and Refund Policy
Alderecho Consulting Group, LLC
Last updated: October 2026

1. Nature of the Service

Alderecho Consulting Group, LLC provides administrative, operational, and commercial support related to the preparation and organization of immigration cases.
These services may include collection of administrative information, document organization, process coordination, client follow-up, and other non-legal support activities. Due to their nature, services may be performed progressively and may involve work beginning during the initial stages of the engagement.
Alderecho is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Legal review, legal strategy, filings before government authorities, and legal representation are handled exclusively by independent licensed attorneys.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy governs cancellations, adjustments, credits, and refund requests related to non-legal services contracted and paid directly to Alderecho.
It does not govern legal fees paid to independent attorneys or law firms, government filing fees, or services contracted directly with other providers, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. Such payments are subject to the agreements, terms, and policies of the applicable provider.
When a contract, proposal, invoice, or other specific agreement applies to an Alderecho service, its specific terms must also be considered together with this Policy.

3. General Principle

Alderecho’s services are performed progressively. Conducting an initial review, collecting or organizing information, preparing documentation, coordinating activities, providing follow-up, or performing another activity related to the service may constitute commencement of performance.
Once work has begun, payments made are not automatically refundable. Any request for cancellation, credit, adjustment, or refund will be evaluated in accordance with this Policy, the work actually performed, costs incurred, and the specific terms applicable to the contracted service.

4. Cancellations

A client may request cancellation of a service contracted directly with Alderecho by submitting a written request.
If the request is received before performance of the service has begun and no non-recoverable costs related to the service have been incurred, a full or partial refund may be available, as applicable.
If performance has already begun, cancellation does not automatically create a right to a refund. Alderecho may consider the work actually performed, time devoted, resources allocated, costs incurred, and the stage reached when the request is received.
Cancellation of services provided directly by attorneys, law firms, or other independent providers will be governed by the agreements and policies of those third parties.

5. Criteria for Refunds, Credits, or Adjustments

Where appropriate, Alderecho will evaluate requests for refunds, credits, or adjustments based on the specific circumstances of the contracted service.
Factors that may be considered include: work actually performed; time and resources used; non-recoverable costs already incurred; the portion of the service not yet performed; the terms established in the applicable contract, proposal, invoice, or agreement.
A refund does not automatically arise from a client’s decision not to continue, delays resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client, decisions or processing times of government authorities or third parties, or an unfavorable immigration outcome.
Nothing in this Policy limits any refund or remedial rights that cannot validly be excluded under applicable law.

6. Third-Party Payments and Services

Fees and payments related to independent attorneys or law firms, clinical or psychological evaluations, translations, government filing fees, courier services, payment processors, or other external providers may be subject to their own terms, cancellation policies, and refund conditions.
Alderecho does not determine or control the refund policies of independent providers and cannot guarantee reimbursement of amounts paid directly to such third parties.
When Alderecho administratively handles a payment intended for a third party, any potential refund will also depend on whether those funds have already been transferred, used, or committed and on the applicable terms of the relevant provider.

7. No Guarantee of Results

The outcome of any immigration process depends on individual facts, legal requirements, available documentation, decisions by government authorities, and other factors outside Alderecho’s control.
Alderecho does not guarantee approvals, favorable decisions, processing times, or specific outcomes.
An unfavorable outcome, a request for additional evidence, a government delay, or a decision issued by an authority or third party does not, by itself, create grounds for requiring a refund for services that have actually been performed.

8. How to Request a Cancellation, Credit, Adjustment, or Refund

All requests must be submitted in writing to:
contact@alderecho-llc.com
The request should identify the client and, when possible, include the relevant service, the date or reference of the payment, and a brief explanation of the reason for the request.
Alderecho may request additional information reasonably necessary to review the matter.
Receipt of a request does not mean that a refund, credit, or adjustment has been approved. Each request will be reviewed in accordance with this Policy and the specific terms applicable to the service.

9. Response and Processing Times

Alderecho will endeavor to respond to a complete cancellation, credit, adjustment, or refund request within up to ten (10) business days.
If additional information is required, the review period may begin once the information necessary to complete the review has been received.
When a refund is approved, the time required for funds to appear in the client’s account will also depend on the bank, payment processor, or payment method used, whose processing times are outside Alderecho’s control.

10. Refund Method

When a refund is approved, Alderecho will seek to issue it through the same method used for the original payment whenever technically and operationally possible.
When this is not possible, Alderecho may coordinate a reasonable alternative method with the client.
Processing times of banks, financial platforms, or payment processors are independent of Alderecho.

11. Changes to This Policy

Alderecho may update this Policy when necessary to reflect changes in its services, operational processes, legal requirements, or business practices.
When changes are made, the date shown at the beginning of this page will be updated. When a change is material and appropriate, additional notice may be provided.
Changes will not retroactively affect rights or obligations that cannot be modified in that manner under applicable law or an existing agreement.
